The first release from Prince George's own Big Old Eyes, essentially known as the greatest band to come out of PG. It's only two songs, but it certainly showcases the talent that the band was only just beginning to discover.

you know its not often enough that i go through all the music on my over cluttered hard drive and give what was once forgotten an honest listen. and, after a few spins, i think its time to share. lyrical stylings that are reminiscent of early belle & sebastion and jangly 60's guitar pop, with some modern day "get up and move" beats. this is probably the only way i'm able to describe voxtrot, a band that people first took notice of around '06 when it seemed that every other week another band or song about wolves would be the latest thing to talk about. raised by wolves is a five song ep that gives a pretty good insight of things to come from the band early on. while i can't say that the band has entirly lived up to everything it built up from this ep (i wanted a bit more from their first lp), they will always have a place in my heart and on my hard drive.
this isn't to say that what they have done since is a complete letdown. quite the opposite. i'm just waiting for the full album that really shows off the band's full potential.

"I guess the first thing I should say is that this album is not trying to be artsy, or profound or anything more than the story it is. It's meant to entertain, bring the feeling of sitting around telling ghost stories or something. Also, I'm a religious studies major, so I tied in a lot of weird religious stuff. This is just a story, there's no religious affiliation on our parts. So there's my disclaimer."
