The Arbitrarys - Anticipation Is Our Destination

Artist: The Arbitrarys
Album: Anticipation Is Our Destination
Genre: Indie Folk/Pop
Country: Canada
Year: 2007

Track Listing:
1. Heat the Suck
2. It'll Pass
3. I Don't Know
4. So...
5. You Are An Island
6. Hey Doll
7. God Damnit It's About Time

The Arbitrarys are Josh Sandu and Naomi Kavka of Prince George, BC. On this album it's Sandu on guitar and Kavka on cello, with a little clarinet and piano here and there. They toured Canada the summer of '08 with a full band, and sometimes they take on the full band at their live shows in town. Kavka has a beautiful, classically trained voice that at times sounds haunting, especially on "It'll Pass." Both have mastered harmonizing with one another. Normally I prefer a fuller sound, but these two manage to pull off the two person band with grace. I tend to overlook local artists when I am deciding on an album to play, simply because I feel like a chotch when they're my close friends, but I can't seem to keep this one off repeat.

riyl: Murder By Death, Tiger Lou, CELLOS, any other folky Canadian duo that are super attractive

EVA-01 - EP 01

Artist: Eva-01
Genre: Screamo
Album: Ep-01
This is a pretty powerful album to me. I was introduced to this band during some pretty rough times. I still listen to this ep, if only to remind me of the people and the times that I abandoned.

DRI - DIRTY ROTTEN LP

Artist: Dirty Rotten Imbeciles
Genre: Punk/Thrash
Album: Dirty Rotten LP

Dirty Rotten EP/LP is the 1983 debut release by the crossover thrash band Dirty Rotten Imbeciles. The album has a very gritty sound. It is considered one of the most influential hardcore albums of all time, and is also considered one of the first thrashcore albums. Originally released as a 7" Dirty Rotten EP (played at 33 RPM) with 22 songs, it sold out quickly. It was later remixed and re-released as a full album with the same 22 songs, but in a different order, and titled "Dirty Rotten LP". This album would also be combined with all four songs from their 1984 Violent Pacification EP. The Dirty Rotten LP was re-released yet again in 2003 as the Dirty Rotten CD, with 22 bonus tracks.
TRUE CROSSOVER CLASSIC!

tristan tzara - da ne zaboravis and omorina nad evropom

tristan tzara - da ne zaboravis and omorina nad evropom

Tristan Tzara was a screamo/hardcore band from Dortmund, Germany. Their name is taken from founding dadaist Sami Rosenstock who used “Tristan Tzara” as his pseudonym.

They have recorded two studio LP records before their ending in year 2002.

not much info on the band, but if i'm posting them to show to you guys then you know it's worth checking out. (i've been meaning to post these up for a while now) the songs are short, the albums are short, they're really good. be brave, my friends
